Volunteer Program

At Encino Hospital Medical Center, our volunteers are a vital component of our healthcare team. In fact, they are such an integral part of our day-to-day activities that we consider them as important to a patient's overall health and recovery.

Why Volunteer?
The type of person who chooses to volunteer his or her time to helping hospital patients is looking for more than an activity that passes the time. The volunteers at Encino Hospital Medical Center contribute to the comfort, care and well-being of our patients and their friends and family.

Getting Started
The Volunteer Program is open to men, women and teens from Encino and surrounding areas. Each volunteer selected is oriented and trained in an area that is appropriate taking into consideration that person's unique talents and interests. While some volunteers come to Encino looking to have directinteraction with patients, others prefer helping behind the scenes. What's important is that the experience is both rewarding for the volunteer and helpful for patients and staff.

Student Volunteers
Encino Hospital Medical Center is pleased to offer a volunteer program for young people. Volunteering provides an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, especially in the field of health care. Applications are accepted from high school students, 16 years or older. Due to the popularity of the program, there may be a waiting list for admission.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, or you would like more information, please call the Volunteer Program at 818-974-5563.
