Fitness Evaluation

Centinela offers Health and Fitness evaluations which include:
* Detailed Medical History Questionnaire
* Height and Weight Measurements * Vision Test
* Glaucoma Test
* Hearing Test
* Spirometry (Pulmonary Function Test)
* Comprehensive Blood Analysis
* Resting Electrocardiogram
* Resting Blood Pressure and Heart Rate
* Chest X-ray (front/side)
* Hemocult (colon cancer detection)
* Graded Exercise Test
* Strength and Flexibility Test
* Urinalysis (check for infection and/or kidney problems)
* Body Composition Analysis (skin fold measurements)
* Comprehensive Physical Exam by a Physician (including skin, eyes, ears, nose, throat, chest, breasts, cardiopulmonary, abdominal, genital organs, gynecological exam, back, prostate exam)
* Consultation with an Exercise Physiologist (review of results, personalized exercise program, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations)
* Comprehensive Written Report (includes physician review of tests results with recommendations and supplemental health / fitness information)

The evaluation costs $650, which covers the exam and you will receive a copy of the bill that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement. We accept credit cards, cash, check or money order.

We also offer optional testing, which can be arranged for an additional fee and includes:
* Mammography
* Colonoscopy
* Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
* Pelvic & PAP Tests
* HIV Tests, etc....

Breastfeeding Class - English

This class is taught by a lactation specialist who will discuss topics such as; understanding the benefits of breastfeeding, myths & conceptions, returning to work, danger warning signs and more.

Lamaze - English

This 4-week course is designed for the expectant mother and her labor coach. Information will be covered will include; the Lamaze breathing & relaxation technique, what to expect during labor & delivery, and how to prepare for the hospital stay.

Some materials are needed for home for class and they include; a pillow, a blanket and a watch with a seconds hand.

If delivering at the Memorial, Centinela, or Marina Campus', these classes are free of charge. Otherwise, the cost is $100.00 which should be paid in cash to the instructor on the first class.

Baby Shower & Hospital Orientation

At our Shower & Hospital Orientation you will be given an overall presentation of your hospital stay on both the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units. You will also have an opportunity to pre-admit themselves for their delivery. Our staff will also answer any questions you have.
